Aging Gracefully Challenge - Day 26 - Characteristics of Wisdom (Part 2)

We just have a few more days in our Aging Gracefully Challenge and for the remainder of the challenge, we will be looking at Wisdom. Today we are continue our look at the characteristics of Wisdom.

 The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old. Proverbs 20:29.

What are the characteristics of Wisdom?

Wisdom is loving.

Proverbs 10:12 – They cover the sin of another person because they love them.

Proverbs 14:21 – The wise are kind and merciful to the poor.

Proverbs 19:22 – They are loyal and kind.

Wisdom welcomes corrections.

Proverbs 13:1 – The wise listen to correction, instruction, and rebukes.

Proverbs 19:20 – They love counsel, instruction and correction.

Proverbs 19:24 – If you reprove them they increase in knowledge.

Wisdom is discerning.

Proverbs 14:15 – The wise considers and ponders what he is told to see if it is true.

Proverbs 16:23 – The wise think about what they are going to say before they say it.

Proverbs 22:3 – They see evil and take appropriate steps. (like Noah, like Joseph)

Wisdom brings healing to relationships and to the body.

Proverbs 12:18 - The tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 13:17 – A faithful ambassador brings healing.

Proverbs 15:4 – The tongue of the wise heals and is a tree of life

 

Day 26 Challenge – Choose an area listed above and ask God specifically for wisdom in that area.
